MULTI DAY CLIMB
Plan a multi day getaway in the Pioneer Mountains with family and friends. This trip encompasses everything from wildflowers, rock climbing, peak bagging, staying in a mongolian yurt, alpine lakes to peak bagging. Venture into the heart of the tallest peaks surrounding Sun Valley and one of the main reasons why the Austrians wanted to create a ski resort in this area. Guides, porters, hutmeisters, food, climbing gear are all included. It is a good idea to plan this trip ahead of time, as the Pioneer Yurt begins to book up quickly.
Sample Itinerary:
Day 1: Hike into the Pioneer Yurt (3.5 miles, 1800’ vertical gain) and drop off overnight gear. Pack up day packs and head up to the Fortress of Solitude Crag for some ground school on how to belay and climb.
